Opa, Oma and Sinta Klas

My opa and oma were here on the 5th December. That was the same day that many many presents were brought to me by this dude, Sinta Klas! What a day it was to have presents and opa and oma around! They sang, they played, they ate, they talked and they walked with us for a couple of days and then sadly they left. But papa and mama said not to worry because we will see them again real soon, on the 17th. I think they say we will be in Leiden and we will celebrate my birthday and christmas with them!!! How exciting!

Montreux Noel Marche

Looking forward to my 2nd christmas! My first christmas was a loooonng time ago and I was only 4 days old, so I don't remember it that well. Poppy and mommy took me to Montreux, the place where Freddy Mercury died, poppy says he does rock 'n roll . They have a market with lights and foods and smells and music and so many good things.. When poppy and mommy took cheese fondue I decided to give them a break and take a nap. Here's the photos, check out the lakeside-snowcap-mountain-backdrop-views!

Red Cross Weekend

Poppy and mommy have been lazy lately - making photos with their tiny pocket camera -and everything set on "auto". This weekend they decided to bring out the big photo gun again - so they make better photo of me! Check out the Saturday morning shots and our visit to the Red Cross museum... Red Cross rules!

nice people until they poked you

Dear everybody,

Yesterday my mommy bought me to this new place where in one room they have like plenty of toys and in another room they have like plenty of things I am not allowed to touch. It was so much fun! Then this really nice lady came to us. She has long straight hair and big brown eyes, I cannot resist smiling at her and I kept crawling under the table and tugging at her pants. She was so friendly and pretty. Then she suddenly took out this LONG stick and poke it into my tight, I felt so cheated and deceived....why do I have the feeling that I have been through this before. Anyway, luckily my mommy was there to kiss and hug me, she also gave me a cookie and after that I did not cry anymore. It was just a little cry, from the shock, it did not hurt that much, actually.

Today, we went to the lost office. Mommy went to pick up a package from Singapore. It seems that ah ma has sent me a mid-autumn festival present. It was kind of a cool yellow police car until you put these bat-trees in them. It made such a loud noise that I also had to cry a little bit, from the shock. Mommy says that I have to learn to be a little more brave...so I am going to try to be a brave person the next time she turns on this air-sucking car (which I also don't like).

My poppy and mommy are rather proud of me lately because I have also started calling me poppy papapapa and wawawawa :). I can also do the "ha ha ha" part of "ik zag twee beren" well more like ah ah ah. This lady who was nice (until she poked me) said that it's unusual that people of my age can already "sing" along. I think anyone would be able to if their parents sing it to them as often as my old folks did.

bye

Play Fun at the Play Place

Poppy 'n Mommy took me to an indoor play place today. Friendly people there, some people of small size also. I like to play with them but they think I'm a bully! Why's that, I'm even smaller than them! Anyways, it was fun throwing things and making noise - things I'm not allowed to do at home. Some photos below. Byebye!!

little gem in the city

Today, mommy, poppy and I went for a little walk in our new neighbourhood and we found a very nice park close to where we live. We really look forward to go there for more walks especially when the weather is good.

Photo update

access online

Hey people,

I am back!! We have moved into our new apartment, I can finally sleep in my own sweet smelly bed. The most bestest part is that we also have internet. Ok, it's not wireless yet but my folks are working on it.

There are still boxes here and there, the sweet smell of the new ikea furnitures are everywhere and there is plenty of room for me to play and crawl about. However, my favorite thing to do is still to hang around my mommy, I can climb on her, I can poke her nose and then she would make funny noises, I can also grab her legs then hang on her shirt and say maamamaama until she carries me. It's great to have her around, you know? My poppy, on the other hand, has been busy working and already he is working overtime, crazy isn't it? I don't really get to see him until the evenings and weekends and I do miss having him around. So message to pop: good luck with your work and hope that things will settle down soon so that I can see you more, alright?

At the moment, I am feeling a little funny, I am coughing, my throat hurts, my mommy says that I have a running nose but I don't really get it, my nose running, I mean from what and where to ??? Last night, I could not sleep because I cannot breath properly and I felt that I needed some company so my mommy & I stayed up, so I could just lied in her arms until I snooze off. But now I am still tired so I am off to bed and I will be back real soon, k!?!

PS to OPA & OMA:
Thanks for coming in the weekend, I really enjoyed shouting "yeah!" at the dining table with you guys. If you hadn't come, I would probably still be staying in that one bedroom, crab-internet and dirty-carpet hotel. BEDANKT!!

My first syllables

OMG I've seen and learned and tasted so many new things today! My folks took me to the Singapore foof festival and gave me a first try of the famous Hainanese chicken rice - but geez, does it really have to cost 15 francs? Another culinary premiere was the roti prata. Gotta say, some seriously excellent food out there at the festival. And no kidding: I got introduced to the Chief Operating Officer of Rolex (my mum has connections), and we hit it off quite well. It was clear him and me had an understanding. Then came the lion dance, really it was quite good...just couldn't keep my eyes of those creatures...great drum work, too...
Went to poshy poshy downtown afterwards, and started to practice my first syllables. I was like "wawabawa" all the time. Mum 'n dad were completely shocked to see I just kept going and going, I couldn't stop talking. Then my dad ordered an ice cream. Why does he always pick such weird flavours - I mean ananas with basilicum, come on! He gave me a lick: it wasn't as bad as I expected, but it wasn't good either. At the end of the day we went back by tram, and entertained the tram people with my giggling and my syllable practicing. A great day!

Beautiful Salève

It's was a free day for poppy, the Swissies call it "Jeune Genevois". So we had a family outing, took a cable cart aaalllll the way up the mountain...it was just 20 minutes from the city centre. Yo, check out the mountain and the super-the-pooper view....If you look very carefully, you will see the famous fountain in downtown Geneva, yo.

Our first visitor from Holland

Hi everybody!

Eva our friend from mommy's last job visited us this weekend. Had a lot of fun checking out the old town and the cathedral, getting a lot of attention from strangers in the tram, and meeting up with some colleagues of daddy as well. Weather was great, and my poppy 'n mommy looked happy for the first time in a while...

Here's a photo from the top of the cathedral. If you look really carefully you can see a piece of the rainbow in the top of the fountain:
